I was wondering for those who have adopted from Russia or Kazakhstan, more recently, can meet some of my questions below. 1. How many trips you've made? and how long is everyone? 2. That both parents must be there for trips of one or two all the time? 3. Did you know that the process is organized? or is it all depends on your body that you work with? 4. Do you feel comfortable in areas where you stay during your visit? 5. Some of their children have serious medical problems are found after returning home? 6. Do you know if you can adopt siblings or children a little more than one in one? or must be separated adoptions? 7. Post placement – I see there are reports that are required for the first three years … but it is true, a report is required each year until age 18? can make these reports is an individual or social worker in case?
My experience is with Russia in 2001 and 2005 … but I think I've kept fairly up to date with the current process. 1. How many trips have you made to do? and how long they were all over the world? For our first adoption a journey of 11 days. For our second adoption, two trips. The first trip was 7 days, the second trip was 23 days. (Many families now make three short trips For example, 7 days, 5 days and 5 days instead of two more trips.) 2. That both parents must be there for one or two trips all the time? Both parents must meet the child before the court and appear in person at the hearing. (These two things could be done on the second trip if necessary.) My husband left shortly after our public to go home to our son and save his illness so that you can stay home with us when we got home. 3. Did you know that the process is organized? or is it all depends on your body while you work? I felt the process was organized, but there are a lot of "hurry up and wait." Our two hearing dates are assigned on short notice (I was told it's a little normal), which means a lot of interference for visas, reservations, arranging for work, etc. Good communication with your agency is also vital. 4. Do you feel comfortable in the regions to stay during your visit? I felt very comfortable in both regions, we stayed in (Moscow and Krasnoyarsk). Really helps to learn a language is not so. We found that if they were willing to try, others were very willing to help. 5. Has a their children have serious medical problems were found after returning home?
